Lessons and carols is a traditional way to spiritually prepare for the coming feast of Christmas. It include a series of scripture readings that tell of the prophecies of the coming Messiah, his birth and its meaning. Songs are sung after each reading. Some are done by a choir, others are sung by the assembly gathered. It is truly a wonderful way celebrate the Advent Season.
The celebration takes place in the Assumption Chapel at 4;00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 and will be followed by a brief reception for all who participate.
This year, there will be two choirs - one from Coldwater and the other from St. Henry.
